Courses after +2

The higher secondary education was called as Pre-degree earlier in Kerala but nowadays it is called as Plus one and Plus two. They are under the authority of DHSE (Directorate of Higher Secondary Education). There is another opportunity to complete higher secondary education through distance education while the exams will be conducted in every year.

       After +2 or higher secondary education there are so many courses in Kerala like Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Interior Design, Marketing and Nursing etc. Most of the students want to study degree in government colleges while the government college's admission depends on the percentage of +2. After 12th commerce there are some popular courses that include Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Works Accountancy (CWA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Economics (B.Eco) and Master of Commerce (M.Com).

Those who have completed +2 Science have Medicine/MBBS, Engineering, BBA, LLB, Bachelor in Statistics, B.Sc in IT and Software and B.Pharma. Commerce and Science are the very familiar courses in Kerala and the above mentioned courses are the opportunities.

            The best way after higher secondary education is doing degree in any government university of Kerala because it will be helpful for a student who wants to further study. The university degree is increasing the earning capacity of students and making students able to enter into any kind of profession or industry. The duration of university degree is three years.

             In Kerala state there are so many private organizations to provide different types of courses with the fewest duration of six months but they are not valuable than the university degree. University degree also enhance the writing ability and communication skill as they conduct exams twice in a year. Cochin University of Science and Technology is the number one university in Kerala while University of Kerala and University of Calicut are the next two universities respectively.
