Vishu
Vishu is a significant festival celebrated with great enthusiasm in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It marks the beginning of the Malayalam New Year and typically falls in the month of Medam, which corresponds to April or May in the Gregorian calendar.

On Vishu day, people wake up early and visit temples to offer prayers and seek blessings for the year ahead. Special feasts, known as 'Vishu Sadhya,' are prepared, featuring a variety of delicious dishes served on banana leaves.
Fireworks, cultural performances, and family gatherings are also common during Vishu celebrations. It is a time for people to come together, express gratitude for the blessings of the past year, and welcome the new year with optimism and joy.
