During the festival, the temple premises are decorated with colorful lights and various cultural programs, including music, dance, and drama, are organized. Devotees from different parts of Kerala visit the temple to offer their prayers and seek blessings from Lord Krishna. 

The festival also features a traditional procession called "Ezhunnallathu" where the idol of Lord Krishna is carried on a beautifully decorated elephant. The procession starts from the temple and travels through the surrounding areas, accompanied by drummers and other musicians.
